Currently, NgRx provides Meta-Reducers that allow developers to wrap, intercept, or enhance reducer logic globally.
However, there is no equivalent mechanism for Effects.

I am building a developer tool (similar to Redux DevTools) and wanted to track, intercept Effects in a centralized way.

Describe any alternatives/workarounds you're currently using

Without a "Meta-Effect" layer, the only option is to manually wrap each effect or create a custom operator, which is not scalable for large projects or external tooling.

I would be willing to submit a PR to fix this issue

Can you provide an example of what you're trying to achieve/a use case where "meta-effect" would be useful?

Like i said in my previous message currently, NgRx devtools let you see actions and state (using the meta-reducer for intercepting actions), but the “effect layer” is invisible (This is strange, because in real-world apps, this is where many of the tricky bugs actually live 😭).

For debugging complex flows (e.g., orchestrating multiple API calls, retries, error handling), it’s very useful to know:

• Which action triggered which effect.

• What action(s) that effect dispatched in response.

• How effects chain together over time.

A meta-effect API would let us Intercept effects globally.
