Investigate performance hit from the ability to assign element within the definition.

Please describe your feature request.
There is a performance hit (especially with long text) due to the required translation taking place whenever an element is moved (dragged). Element field access and assignments via $[] and &[] were introduced but required some changes to optimizations.

Describe the solution you'd like
Investigate alternative ways to provide the same functionality but keep dragging optimized by using the definition cache for a given element.

Added toggle to turn off translations for strings when elements are moved. Most normal use cases won't need this on.

Up next will be to evaluate the regex logic (I'm no expert so they are probably trrrrrrrible)
