There's an bad performance issue in the latest version.

If you run 1000 times of "[iConsole info:@"Said '%@'", _label.text]", it could take 2.4 seconds on the simulator of the latest MACBook Pro model. It could not be acceptable for this.

Is this new to the latest version? Or was this a pre-existing issue?

it's a pre-existing issue.
I checked on the old version 1.5.2 in Xcode5.1. it takes around 1 second to run 1000 times.
