Why is `function` deprecated?

Hey!

I'm curious about why the function option was deprecated.

I understand that in most cases, the idea is to move from mkShell to mkShellNoCC, which the new stdenv option conveniently handles. That makes perfect sense, and it also works well with this minimal shell approach.

But for other shell implementations, like naked shell, something like the function option is actually needed.

Would love to hear your thoughts on this and whether there are any known issues or considerations I might be missing.
