Will there be a release on the VSX Registry?

I am using VSCodium and would love this extension, but I can't seem to find a way to install it since it's not part of the Open Registry. Are there plans for a release?

If you download the extension (.VSIX file) from the marketplace and import it directly in the extensions tab, it works?
