Basal still being provided when the pump is suspended

I'm pretty sure that with previous version, clicking "suspend" in the "Equil" tab resulted with temporary pump disconnecting. Now it only diaables the loop, with basal still being provided and disabling the possibility to enter manual bolus.

I think ot should result with grey icon and basal as well as bolus to be disabled.

I'm checked on Equil 5.4 and 3.3.2.1 in SMA and on Suspended Loop either basal, TBR an bolusing was active.
Suspending the loop was only stoping SMA alghoritm from basal regulation.
The same is on Combo and Dana pump.
In my opinion is a great feature.
User may stop basal being provided by Pump Disconnect.

But isn' t this behawiour expected while you're turning rhe loop off, not SUSPENDING the pump itself? At least this is my understanding. I wish to be able to suspend the pump without defined duration, e.g. for swimming. Now the only option seems to be "suspend" for XX hours in the main screen.

In my opinion previous set of possibilities was complete:

1. Turning loop off was actually equal to suspending the loop without defined duration. Basal was provided, boluses possible, only automated basal control in SMA was disabled.
2. Suspending loop was for defined duration and after time loop was getting back into action. Very helpful. Boluses were still possible.
3. Disconnecting the pump was equal to set TBR to 0% and disabling boluses by one user action. Clear, simple and efficient.

Completely cannot find any advantages of the current change.

Yes, BUT :) Disconnecting the pump is causing the piston retraction, which is not what I'd want if i need to disable it for, say, 4-5 h

Thx for the discussion :) Hope it helps to reverse the change in Pump suspend action.
When disconnecting pump from the pump menu, yes. It will result in piston retraction.
"Disconnect pump" from the main screen has never resulted in retraction for me in Equil or any other pump. We had AccuChek, Dana, Dash also.
From the main scree there is max disconnect time of 3 hours. Longer time without basal may be not a good idea. Not in all cases maybe. Best option will be configurable buttons to cover all needs.
