Aerospace combos with alt modifiers and alphanumerics break

I just updated my Mac. Since it always breaks with aerospace, I do it as less as possible.

Now all keyboard shortcuts with alt and alphanumerics (e.g. alt-f) do not work anymore. The binding for alt-left works. Also aerospace fullscreen works when running from terminal.

Also AeroSpace shows all the time the Secure Input, even when using MS Teams/Firefox:

1. I've added AeroSpace in Input Monitoring

Expected result: Key bindings with alt-f work.
Actual result: ƒ is put to the application.

I don't know what fixed it now.

I've re-toggled Input monitoring a few times. I even removed the app from the Input Monitoring App list and added it again.

At some point it worked again. I'm not even sure whether removing+adding was the fix.

Mhmm, now I've restarted Aerospace.app. And it happened again.

After closing the Terminal.app, it was resolved.

However I'm pretty sure Terminal.app was't open while I had the initial problems.

It's because Terminal.app has Secure Input feature. You can disable it in the application menu:

Different applications can trigger Secure Input. Every time it could be yet another app doing that

Thanks for answering this. In another issue I got aware of the terminal app activating secure input. I don't use it anyways.

Yes, it's just non-understandable. The MacOS window management UX is a pity regarding secure input. A simple app can activate it globally, and even hold the lock even if it's not focused anymore. This is weird and incomprehensible to me.

I appreciate the UX Aerospace has here. At least the user sees that it's activated. Still nobody knows why, but that's the problem to get fixed by Apple.
