Documentation incomplete + log file location?

As a beginner in both logging and NInject, I did not find the documentation helpful. Also, I cannot figure out how to setup the path for the log file. Took me quite a while to find at least one article about this: https://coalvilledave.wordpress.com/2011/07/22/using-log4net-with-ninject/, but it does not work for me.

Thank you by the way, this package must be very useful, once implemented correctly.
