hi @moser297 - this looks like an off by one error to me. to help narrow down the problem, when you say

completed successfully with a previous version

is that prior to the incorporation of multistep reg? after #425 was incorporated?

the version I used previously was nibabies 25.0.0a3. I think this has the multistep reg
