I stumbled onto this repository as a dependency of medspacy. There seems to be a breaking bug in the segmenter that already breaks importing the package, which may be related to using newer versions of Python.
There have not been any recent updates to the repository, and there are multiple open PRs by contributors, but the maintainer has seemingly abandoned the project.

if you no longer plan to maintain or allow PRs, would you consider archiving the project? This will make it clear to downstream users to no longer incorporate the repo, or may allow a prominent fork to arise.
