Extracting the Text of EPUB Files seems to be easy so it could also be supported.

I am creating at the Moment a Library for such a Purpose so maybe I will just add it in some days.

ITextParser is just designed for text extraction only. No metadata information

No. Different Parser interfaces have different purposes. IMetadataParser is used for metadata extraction only.

This means you can implement one metadata parser for epub and another text parser for epub.

Does it have a reason these are two different parsers?

Depends on the extraction scenario. In some cases, the user only needs metadata. In some other cases, the user only needs content (without metadata). Separated parsers make these parsers more flexible to use.

However, since this library is not so popular (text extraction in .NET is a narrow field. Usually, people use Python to do this), it's not possible to predict how users will use these parsers.

What exactly should I test?

Add a EPUB and copy paste the actual Text?

Just test if some texts are contained in the extracted result. No need to match the whole actual text since the actual text can be a bit different on different platform. (such as new line character )
