State of Widgets Is Not Preserved when Navigating

For example if you have 2 widgets in your carousel :

1. Add some text in a text field in the first widget
2. Navigate from the 1st widget to the second widget,
3. Then navigate back to first widget
4. The first widget text field has been reset and is now blank

Maybe this is by design by default, if so how can I preserve data in my widgets when navigating.?... Please point me at an example code.

Each of items in the widget rebuilt when they out of view and go back view. Not sure if this is a bug or by designed.
Some of the carousel packages out there are the same as this.
