Work Items not migrating in their current state

Hi all, one issue that I have just noticed with my migration is that work items that are migrating are not in their original most recent state i.e. if they were last updated on 28/07, the migrated version appears to be the one that was last updated 05/04. This is causing missing parent/child relation links, additional comments and if the Area Path was changed during this time, it is still appearing in the old area path.
I am using v 11.12.22
