Migrating from TFS 2015 to Azure DevOps Services with Custom Process Templates

Hello!

Does the tool work with Custom Process Templates in TFS if I want to migrate to AzDo Services? I have custom templates with custom work item types, with many custom fields. If I create work item types in AzDo with matching fields, would I be able to use the tool to map the fields and migrate?

I read it, I also watched the video and searched the discussions / bugs for "custom" and couldn't turn up anything. The closest thing I could find is this line in the WorkItemMigrationContext document:

"Transferring Work Items Between Instances: The primary purpose of the processor is to transfer work items, including bugs, tasks, user stories, features, and more, from one Azure DevOps instance to another."

What's not clear to me is if the tool only works for the pre-canned work item types like Bug, User Story etc... or if Custom Work Items can be migrated if I setup the mappings.
