Migrated work items do not slot into the right Board Column and Board Lane. The work item history is being carried over, however, it was noted that the specific revision for moving work items in and out of Board Columns and/or Board Swim Lanes does not transfer over to the migrated work item.

My Agile Boards teams have also noticed that the revision history for when work items moved Board Column or Board Lane does not come over on the migrated work item. Is this expected?

Board Column and Board Lane are just fields that are migrated by default.

Can you check the field ref name on the 2019 server with the field name on the Service?

Revisions are only made if the data has changed. This means that if the field refs are different, and the data in the target is not updated, then the revision from the source would have no effect and not generate revisions on the target.
