Revisions assigning users incorrectly

So here in one of the revisions , the Assigned to value is Charles Moss , but suddenly when it saves that revision it is getting saved as Mathieu Mazoyer , the person whose PAT token is used for migration. And i cant seem to understand why that is happening , it should be like that right ?

This is expected behaviour.

All changes are AuthorisedBy: Mathieu Mazoyer, the user who did the migration, and the additional saves at the end are not from adding the links and attachments; so they are made by ChangedBy: Migration.

Migration is as follows:

1. All Revisions <-- connected to the user that made the change
2. All Links <-- attributed to "migration"
3. All Attachments <-- attributed to "migration"

Hi But then how come this only affects some work item migrations , what i meant is if the source work item in the final revision has the assigned to person named Charles , how come after migration it changes to Mathieu ?

That is not right , i didnt intend to do that , but the tool is doing that by itself , it doesnt affect all work items , some work items it retains the same assigned to person even after migration but for 56 / 6000 work items , it changes it to Mathieu
