Extend TfsUserMappingTool / MatchUsersByEmail to adding option to change the domain name

TfsUserMappingTool / MatchUsersByEmail ease a lot the migration when display name are different. However, when a company is bought by another, email domain name is changing name as well and one nice option would be to add a email domain email to source and target endpoints and optionaly use them in the TfsUserMappingTool / MatchUsersByEmail

During a migration we do not have access to the email, only the string in the field.

But how the TfsUserMappingTool MatchUsersByEmail feature is working ? it requires the email addresses right ?

Its not looking at the Work Item data. It's using different API's to enumerate users and match them on email, so during a migration, we can match on a string.

How would you like it to work?

You can create that mapping file yourself, and then feed it into the migration.
