Description
In the bln_scen_croprotation table there are some crop rotations which seem unlikely given the location of the CBS region within the Netherlands, as well as the sequence of crops itself.
For example:
When calling BLN::bln_scen_croprotation[b_aer_cbs == 'LG07' & scen == 'bld_int', b_lu_brp], you'll find that this intensive arable rotation for 'Westelijk Holland' is comprised of the following crop sequence: spring barley, sugar beet, lily bulbs, starch potato (3 consecutive years).
Points:
- Is starch potato (BRP code 2017) typical for that region? When looking at the BRP of 2024 I only see this crop in and around the Veenkoloniën region. The
bld_intcrop rotation is identical for all CBS areas. - It seems highly unlikely that cropping a potato crop 3 years in a row is typical for any location in NL.
On (https://www.goedbodembeheer.nl/bollenteelt-zavel-en-klei) I read that a typical rotation of 6 years is 4x temporary grassland, lily bulbs and cauliflower. This is probably for both the flower bulb areas in South Holland and in North Holland.
