The book needs to be downloaded with no more recent than Kindle for PC 2.4.0 (70904) aka 2.4.70904 on the same computer and user as calibre with DeDRM 10.0.9. And you need to install the KFX Input plugin. There is also this error:
Something seems to be preventing access to that file. Don't know what might be causing that or how you can resolve it. |

My Kindle Version is 1.17.0 I did see that "Permission denied" line and I went into the folder and took ownership. I'll keep digging. |

Thank you for your help. I went to that Plugin folder and noticed that the file "dedrm.json" had the same date as the date I first started reinstalling things on the new PC even though the plugins had today's date. (I had removed and reinstalled the plugins from inside Calibre earlier) I manually deleted all the Plugins from the Plugin folder then reinstalled through Calibre. Now it's working. |

I recently switched to a new PC and had to reinstall Calibre and the plugins. Calibre version 8.10 and DRM tools 10.0.9 I'm trying to import and DRM a book released in 2021 but it's giving me a "This book is locked by DRM" message. Any help on what I've done wrong with the reinstalls would be appreciated. Here's the log:
