Consider providing a new output option for split screens

I immediately fell in love with npms cli when I came across this npm search ranking project. However, one little thing I found is the search output always takes more than half the screen (and disfigured in half-screen mode), which is a bit inconvenient for people like me who are used to working in a split-screen mode.

I made a little adjustment to the search output for myself by providing a column output option (see the picture). Does this adjustment warrant a new feature on this project? Any thought is welcome.
