Expand our "About Us" page: Community overview, shared purpose/value, funding

As part of the CSCCE Birdaro training, several "playbook" components were introduced and evaluated, including answers to the "why" and "who" of a given open source project. Some ideas for how we can better answer these questions are below, and could be added to our existing https://earthaccess.readthedocs.io/en/stable/about-us/ page:

• Add a community overview:

  • Answers the “who” of earthaccess
  • How community aligns with org’s mission; who owns the project
  • See https://openrefine.org/community for inspiration

• Add a shared purpose and value:

  • We have a short blurb in the About Us page already. Can/should we expand?

• Add details on our funding landscape: What are the funding source(s) supporting this work.
