I would like to propose an idea for a new content section focused on inclusive practices for low-budget and small community-led events. Many diversity and inclusion guides assume access to significant funding, sponsorships, or large organizing teams. However, a large number of community events, student-led meetups, and regional conferences operate with limited budgets and resources.
This section could include:
Practical inclusion strategies that require little to no budget.
Accessibility ideas that do not rely on expensive tools.
Volunteer-driven inclusion practices.
Hybrid or remote participation tips for communities with limited infrastructure.
Examples of what can be done when ideal resources are not available
The goal is to help organizers who genuinely want to build inclusive spaces but feel constrained by cost, time, or team size.
If this idea aligns with the DISCOVER Cookbook vision, I’d be happy to help outline or contribute content to this section.
