The current Discover Cookbook site presents valuable resources but primarily in a static documentation format. While the content is excellent, the overall layout, navigation, and visual hierarchy could be enhanced to improve engagement and accessibility.

Proposed Enhancement / Suggestion

I propose improving the Discover Cookbook’s UI/UX design to make it more engaging, inclusive, and visually consistent.

Suggested improvements include:

Enhancing typography and color contrast for better readability and accessibility.

Improving navigation structure (e.g., sidebar menu, breadcrumbs, and section highlights).

Adding subtle animations or hover effects to make the experience more dynamic.

Updating spacing and alignment to follow accessibility best practices .

Rationale & Expected Impact

Improving the UI/UX will make the Discover Cookbook easier and more enjoyable to navigate, especially for new users, contributors, and event organizers.

Enhances accessibility for users with visual or cognitive challenges.

Encourages longer engagement and repeat visits.

Aligns with Discover’s mission to promote inclusiveness and accessibility in scientific communities.

Provides a more professional and welcoming first impression to new visitors
