applyTenantScopesToDeferredModels never called?

When/where should applyTenantScopesToDeferredModels() be called? I have models which are not getting tenant scoping because they are added to the deferredModels sets but the tenant scopes are never applied.

Just ran in to this too.

I just added Landlord::applyTenantScopesToDeferredModels(); directly after I called Landlord::addTenant

But wondering if applyTenantScopesToDeferredModels() should be enabled by default?
