Missing articles. Skipping file since it is not a video

This error message shows up in the log:

File <filename>.nfo has missing articles. Skipping file since it is not a video.

This occurs for both Radarr and Sonarr, while the setup has worked and was unchanged for a week (read: initial setup).
As a result the item is added to the blocklist and a new search takes place. This then leads to all available releases to be downloaded and one by one added to be blocklist.

*.nfo is part of the files to be ignored. I have tried removing it, adding it again. Restarting also didn't help. When opening the file from the content directory it plays normally

An *.nzb document has multiple files within it. Nzbdav is primarily built for media, so when a video file within the nzb has misssing articles, the entire nzb will show up as "failed" on the nzbdav History table.

But when missing articles are encountered on a file that is not a video (an *.nfo file for example), then that file will simply be skipped (not added to the webdav) and the nzb can still be marked as "completed" in the nzbdav History table if all other video files within the nzb were added to the webdav.

The log above is just a warning that shows up when missing articles are encountered on non-media files. Those files are simply skipped. But the nzb as a whole can still be either marked as "completed" or "failed" depending on whether the other media files of the nzb were successfully added to the webdav or not.

The log you mentioned above should not result in the entire nzb being marked as failed.

When this happens, could you check radarr/sonarr Activity -> History page and look for a failed/blocklisted row. Then click on the little "information" icon on the far right? You'll see something like this:

What is the Message shown? (The reason for the failed download).

• If it shows "Article with message-id not found", then that means a missing article was encountered on a video file within that nzb. (missing articles on nfo files had nothing to do with it).
• If it shows "Manually marked as failed", then that means it was caused by one of the rules configured under nzbdav -> settings -> radarr/sonarr -> automatic queue management
