Wifi disconnect every ~30minutes

Macos version: 15.5
Macbook pro 16" 2019
Unifi router/switch/AP's
LuLu: latest.

After banging all Unifi devices for almost 1 year (well, from time to time), it was actually ChatGPT/Gemini that recommended to disable/exit LuLu and monitor. Wifi did not drop one single time for 24hours.

Before, this happened on a regular basis, every ~30minutes (+/- some seconds).
Logs on Unifi controller did not tell much, just disconnect/reconnect, most of the times very fast (1sec) but sometimes 10+seconds.

Any clues ?

update: 2 weeks later, no disconnects. Starting LuLu and in couple of minutes I start to see disconnects in the Unifi console logs. Frequency is the same , around every 30min.

any changes with macos 15.6?

i updated two days ago to the latest sonoma 14.7.7 and now experiencing the same wifi drops at random times.
had no problems before.

latest lulu 3.1.5
m2 macbook

disabled it and so far no drops as of my limited testing today but network speed seems slower. might be related to the last macos update too that broke something again

Hi @btthle , I am still on 15.5 but had this issue for more than 6months (or more) just never ever I imagine it could be from a firewall tool (call me stupid but it is what it is).

I will upgrade to 15.6 soon and will post back, but since it also happened on previous versions, nut much hopes without Patrick or someone looking over it :(

@itmp-git I took the plunge and upgraded to macOS 15.6, and I haven’t had any issues so far. It’s likely that I wasn’t experiencing any issues before too, as I was only using Sonoma and I had an unstable, weak Wi-Fi connection that caused Wi-Fi drops at this time. Now that I’m back home, I don’t experience any issues with my Wi-Fi router setup.
