Booleans with templater code?

Hi,
I've got a Tasks query that includes the line:
(no due date) OR (due after <% tp.date.now("YYYY-MM-DD") %> )
I'm getting an error:
Tasks query: malformed boolean query -- Invalid token (check the documentation for guidelines)

But I can't find any doc about this case.
It appears I can include templater code in simple Tasks queries, but not booleans....
What am I doing wrong?

Is Tasks giving the error only when it is in template form, or does the error persist after you've inserted the template and the templater expression has resolved to a date? If it is only in the template, then there is nothing to worry about.

So far it's only in the template file.
It's the template for my daily note, so I'd rather wait till tomorrow to see if it works.
(Too many other things to do today.)
Will check tomorrow and report back.

Yes. Sorry, I was drowning in work....
Anna was correct - though I get an error when editing the template, the instances of the template are just right.

For anyone coming across this, the solution now is to use the Tasks Global Query facility to exclude your template directory from all Tasks searches.

For example, I have the following in my Tasks global query:

path regex does not match /^_templates/
path regex does not match /^_meta/
