Why there are two different date pickers on Windows?

Hello,
I would like to know if there is any reason why there are two different date pickers on Windows?

When changing the date from a Tasks query. A white one:

When changing the date from the Create or edit Task window. A dark and smaller one:

I noticed this also shown at #3264.
Thank you for your thoughts.

Because when we implemented those two features, neither picker worked well enough in both situations.

And I took the view it was better to release 2 things that worked and were very useful, rather than waiting for perfection.

I don’t remember the details of the problems though.
