I've worked out something with the new priority system. That system has allowed me to get rid of my custom focus tag, and use high priority instead. In a sequential project, I can set the top task as high, and all of the remaining tasks as medium. Then, I can filter for all medium priority tasks on my master task sheet (as "Potential Next Actions") and set them to be high priority when it's time to complete them. It's better than wading through every single project note. A little kludgy, but it works. I could've done it with tags prior, but the priority system is better and easier. A "limit to 1 task per note" query option would still definitely help, as that would limit my "Potential Next Actions" query to one task per project, as each project has its own note. |

I'm not sure if this is a feature request, or if there's an answer to this.
The one point of tension left for me in this awesome plugin and the awesome setup I have in which this plugin is the anchor ... sequential tasks.
I currently use a focus tag ("⭐️") to ensure tasks land on a master list of priority things to do. I have a query that pulls all of the focus tasks from across my vault to present my current to-do list.
I often have sequential projects. Once a task is done, I'm ready to complete the next one.
Is there any way that anyone can think of to automatically tag the next task in a note with that focus tag when I complete the previous task, so that it shows up in my focus list right away? Or, can anyone think of a query solution that would at least present a list of those next undone tasks so that I can tag them quickly instead of going through every single project folder?
Something along the lines of "limit to 1 task per note" would do it for me, perhaps. I could query for all undone tasks that don't have focus tag, which would give me a list of potential next actions that I can tag quickly for focus.
