I suggest a few more "states" for tasks

I really like what you have done. It's the one thing that convinced me to switch from Notion to Obsidian.
However, it would be nice if a task could have a few more "states" in which it can exist:

• InProgress: I'd like to mark a task as in progress. It might take several days to complete & I'd like to set it to a state that I can track each day. But creating it as a "recurring" task doesn't seem like the right approach.

• Cancelled: I'd like to mark a task as cancelled (for historical purposes). I don't want to delete it, but I also don't want it to continue to show up on lists of tasks that are overdue.

Hi, thank you for the suggestions. Custom states have been asked for a number of times, such as in #260, #628, #702.

There is also an in-progress pull request to add custom states, and it includes in-progress and cancelled: #670.

So I'm closing this as a duplicate.
