Is this project still active? How can I get a fix merged?

Hi,
We recently ran into a parsing error from Octokit. I found that it has already been reported (#2998) and a fix PR created (#2999) early last year.
However, they were both closed automatically a few months back without any action.

I then noticed that there have been no new commits to the main branch for over a year.
This leads me to wonder about the overall status + health of the project.

If it's no longer active, are there any plans for alternatives?
If it is active, how can I get this issue and PR reopened and merged in?

@nickfloyd Apologies for the direct ping, but you seem to have been one of the core contributors here and your Linkedin still mentions that you co-own this project.
I've also found the generated API, but it looks like that hasn't been updated for even longer.

It would be good to know what's going on here.
Do I just need to fork the repo and build internally to get this fixed or are there plans to rejuvenate these projects?
