Manifest dependency/data item links open builtins.pyi instead of target file on WSL2 #20

Description

@Mazi4u-founder

Hi,

After installing odoo-vscode, when I open a __manifest__.py file and navigate to either the depends or data section, clicking on any listed items incorrectly opens a Python file located at:

<my path>\vscode-server\extensions\odoo.odoo-1.0.2-linux-x64\typeshed\stdlib\builtins.pyi

This happens instead of navigating to the corresponding Odoo module or data file.

Environment:

  • OS: Windows 11 (using WSL2)
  • VSCode: Latest version (updated on 12/10/2025)
  • Extension: odoo-vscode v1.0.2
  • Runtime: Remote WSL2 environment

Steps to Reproduce:

  1. Install odoo-vscode in VSCode (on WSL2).
  2. Open an Odoo module’s __manifest__.py file.
  3. Go to either the depends or data section.
  4. Click any listed dependency or data file.

Expected Behavior:
Clicking on an item in the depends or data list should open the corresponding module or file.

Actual Behavior:
Clicking instead opens:

<vscode-server>/extensions/odoo.odoo-1.0.2-linux-x64/typeshed/stdlib/builtins.pyi

Additional Context:
Occurs consistently after fresh installation.
System uses WSL2 Ubuntu environment linked to Windows 11 host.

Kind regards,
Thomas
