Remove gaps when using cards inside

I’m trying to create a gapless layout in Home Assistant dashboards, specifically: Using a grid card to arrange multiple sensors in a single row. Using custom:vertical-stack-in-card (and horizontal-stack) to group multiple cards.

The problem:
Even after setting gap: 0 on grid or horizontal-stack, and using card_mod to remove margin and padding, I still see a small gap between the cards.

Can a new version respect tools like card-mod to fix the above?
