Color and Highlight group overrides are only applied to the PackerSync window

I'm pretty new to vim and coding in general, apologies. I am using packer for my plugin manager, and I have followed the readme on this repo, but any of my color or highlighting override attempts are only getting applied to the PackerSync flyout and not to any other buffer. Here is my colorscheme lua file, which is called by init.lua

Another plugin may be overwriting them after Packer Sync. Try hi verbose String and see if that shows you what's setting it (I think that's the command...it's been a long day!)

Thanks for your help. I finally nailed this down to my LSP plugins overwriting the changes. I will post the solution once I find the fix.
