Mining to the same address as the pool address

As a pool operator, I mine to the same address as the pool address, as specified in config.json. Does anyone know what happens if a miner (me) uses the same address (in the username) as the pool address? Does miningcore handle this internally or does the node software handle it (does sending from address A to address A skip)?
