replace KOReader’s Long-Press Action with AI Pop-Up for Word Definitions in Context

I'm not sure if what I'm suggesting is possible, but it would be great if someone could create a feature that replaces KOReader’s default long-press action. Instead of opening the built-in dictionaries, it would open an AI pop-up with the definition of the word in context. This would eliminate the need to manually highlight the context and specify the word I want a definition for.

PS: Even a button inside the default KOReader dictionaries window that provides a definition for the word in context (without needing to highlight the context manually) would work

There is already a button inside the default dictionary popup. If you do not see it please download the latest code, also update your configuration.lua with the latest configuration.lua.sample file.

hey! so i managed to fix the crash issue, the dictionary (AI) button is appearing and working now, can we change its prompt like we do with the other custom buttons? if so, how?

Its prompt is in this file: dictdialog.lua. Since it is a bit complex I don't want to put it in Configuration.lua.

        content = prev_context .. "<<" .. highlightedText .. ">>" .. next_context .. "\n" ..
            "explain vocabulary or content in <<>> in above sentence with following format:\n" ..
            "⮞ Vocabulary in original conjugation if its different than the form in the sentence\n" ..

BTW, What's the crash issue you fixed? How did you fix it? What's your device? It will be great if you share some details of this.

The issue was caused by this line in the configuration file: dictionary_translate_to =
I had it set as: dictionary_translate_to = en
Changing it to dictionary_translate_to = "en-US" solved the issue

The device is a Kindle 2022.
