HF Crashes koreader

Hey all. I was trying to install this plugin the other day on my winterbreak PPW5. The main branch doesn't work at all (it only shows the assistant button, and clicking on it doesnt do anything), so i changed to the HF Branch. Whenever I use it, it just crashes Koreader itself. The last topic i found on the HF Branch was from 3 months ago. Would there be any update to the HF branch or would there be anyway for me to use the plugin with my PPW5? Thanks for your time.

HF one is not maintained (will be deleted). Are you sure that you don't have another fork installed on your device? Please remove if any and try the main branch.

The first one I tried is the main branch v1.07 actually. When I tried it on my PPW5, the plugin doesnt appear in the more tools section. When I highlighted some texts, the popup shows the Assistant button, and clicking on said button creates a pop up that says "Checking for update". After that, the assisstant button does nothing. And then, when I go to the more tools menu, a new option appeared, called : Assistant provider switch. Clicking on it just says Configuration not found or provider settings are missings (even though i copied and renamed the newly copied configuration.lua file, and changed the name for the provider and input my api key). When I tried the HF branch, clicking on the Assistant actually shows the popup with all the prompt options, but then it just crashes Koreader

Please try the latest code from the repo,
old code doesn't provide error messages that we cannot identify what's wrong.

In my tests, the plugin runs good on a very old kindle (Kindle 3 Keyboard).
