Hi Justin, Did you already get some answers to these questions, maybe through some other channels? I would say that it would be wise to add some new features to the demo that we didn't have in the past, like use the updated XTypes data model or to run with security enabled, so that at least we can show that we progressed from where we were during the previous demo many years ago now. If we do make a decision to go with something like that, everyone would need enough time to prepare, so I think we would need to set a clear go-no-go date when it comes to determining to put new features in the demo. The DDS Foundation is going to put on an event at the OMG quarterly meeting in Reston.
The event will be on the morning of March 18.
The DDS Foundation would like to show an interoperability demo at this event.
The general outline of the event would be:
For the demo, the DDS Foundation is considering something like the Shapes Demo that was given some years ago.
I was not there but I understand that each vendor built the Shapes Demo GUI and showed it on a screen.
The audience saw multiple screens where the Shapes GUIs were updating with each other's data.
For the upcoming demo, the DDS Foundation is thinking that the various vendors that want to participate could contribute an executable and the presenter could run the multiple applications.
This has the advantage of not requiring the vendors to be present, predictability, etc.
So, vendors, are you
Thanks.
