What's new

GPT-5 has landed

We upgraded the AI model to the new GPT-5 by OpenAI. Alongside its incredible coding capabilities, this model also doubles the amount of context it can digest – Making it even better at working with complex code.

Mini Ai chat

We've improved the design workflow by adding the new mini AI chat shortcut.
Select an element -> summon mini-chat -> prompt ai.

Frame Page Selector

Navigate between pages directly from the canvas frame. The new page dropdown replaces the need to switch onlook tabs, keeping you on the same canvas while jumping between routes.

Search filenames and the file content. The new code search shows match counts per file and highlights all instances found in the code editor.

New tools for your AI

We've crafted over a dozen new tools that supercharge your AI's code capability, giving it better options to quickly audit, understand and update your codebase. The next time you use Onlook's AI, you'll quickly see the AI's output quality improvements.

What's improved:

• Better drag interactions for smoother element manipulation and positioning in the editor
• Recent projects shortcut has been added to the builder menu to allow for quick switching between projects
• Terminal/CLI no longer resets whenever you open/close it
• CLI usage prompts have been added to the UI when human interaction is needed to proceed

What we've fixed:

• Backup/commit history: Fixed issues where versions/backups wouldn’t show correctly.
• Border icon: Fixed display issues when using mixed sized borders.
• Preview window: Fixed the visual glitch that occurred when trying to resize the preview window
• Keyboard shortcuts: Fixed keyboard shortcuts to work properly when frames are active, improving editor accessibility.
• Fonts: Fix bugs that were making font use behave inconsistently
