How to integrate to remote functions

I haven't tested it but you could try passing over the remote function to our <Form /> component as it is just a simple wrapper around the native <form /> component. In the long run we will work on native support for remote functions with a new @formisch/svelte-kit package.

After looking into the source and comparing it with Svelte’s remote forms, it seems they’re not directly compatible since both handle similar concerns. For instance, Formish’s form states (validating, sending, etc.) map to the pending state in Svelte’s remote forms. Validation is also built into Svelte’s remote forms through preflight (client) and schema-based (server) validation.

The main difference is in granularity: remote forms offer less fine-grained control.

I haven't looked into it but my guess is that we are building our own remote functions similar and on the same foundation than SvelteKit's remote functions but optimized to be used with Formisch. I hope SvelteKit is able to support this. I will report back once I know more.

This is still an open topic. As of now, there’s no official or documented support for SvelteKit remote functions in Formisch, and the planned @formisch/svelte-kit package does not exist yet. The

component is mostly compatible with SvelteKit remote functions—you can try spreading a remote function onto the form or handling submission manually—but this isn’t officially supported or documented, and there are open questions about how and components would interact due to overlapping attributes. Recent development has focused on React support, not SvelteKit integration. If you experiment with partial integration or find a working pattern, sharing it with the community would be valuable. I made and published my own remote form component library so I have no stakes in this anymore. I don't mind eighter way but I will unsubscribe, no need to mention me anymore @dosu.
