Talk on GenAI in Vision led applications at the Edge at ETCC 2025

I had the privilege of providing a keynote at the International Conference on Emerging Technologies in Computing and Communications on 27 June 2025 at PESU, Bengaluru. The talk was titled "Role of GenAI in Vision led applications at the Edge and role of Open-Source SW to drive adoption". The audience was majorly comprised of students and faculty with a few industry participants. The objective of the talk was two-fold: (a) Highlight the key role GenAI can play at the edge and (b) Talk about the influence open-source has in GenAI adoption and highlight Open Edge Platform in that context. The feedback to the talk was very positive and the students especially were looking forward to check out the available resources on OEP as part of their Capstone and other projects.

I would like to thank Prof. Dr Farida Begum for hosting me, Dr. Subash Kulkarni (Principal), and Prof Deepa S for providing a better context of PESU priorities and several key initiatives taken to promote hands-on experience and inculcate research mindset among the undergrad students.
