[DISCUSSION] Can I disable cloud-init networking on an onboarded node to run a DHCP server?

Hi team,

After onboarding a device with Intel Open Edge, I noticed that /etc/netplan/50-cloud-init.yaml is fully managed by cloud-init.

The file itself mentions:

In my case, I want to use the same interface to run a DHCP server on it. To do this, I would need to disable cloud-init’s network management (using 99-disable-network-config.cfg) and apply my own netplan config.

My questions are:

• Can I safely disable cloud-init networking without breaking Open Edge onboarding or management?
