The GitOps WG README initially had info copied directly from the original WG announcement: https://www.weave.works/blog/announcing-gitops-working-group
Since that WG README is now being properly moved – along with other WG material – from the separate GitHub org/repo to the CNCF App Delivery TAG, this long form information about GitOps in general should be removed from that README. See cncf/tag-app-delivery#146.
Should the info from that announcement be added to any supporting documents within the https://github.com/open-gitops/documents repo?
I suggest if we decide yes, we should start with a PR that pulls in the git commit history from git blame on those lines into a new, appropriate file, then modify the PR on top of that history as needed.
Thoughts?
