quota/ingest budget?

I want to have some soft/hard restrictions on volume (like eps, bps, daily volume x Giga/Tera/...) per collector or a given attribute.
I did not find any example config how to do it.
Is it possible? can anyone share an example?

Not asking about sampling, just send a warning or stop ingestion if above rate per period
