Ok - well obviously it does run as a service and defaults to outputting to the Windows Event Log An example from stack overflow with the sc.exe install command line : https://stackoverflow.com/questions/78015912/running-otel-agent-as-windows-service-is-not-working It;'s not quite functioning in the event viewer (you need to view as XML), but I guess it's something |

Hello everyone:
Do I have it right that there is no way to install the collector as a windows service?
Seems like a very basic missing feature.
Is there a work around?
I do seem to see some APM providers seem to have some sort of install that provides this feature.
Thanks,
Michael
