Some of the dependencies that components in this repo are using have bumped their go version 1.25.7 to prevent compiling the code with go versions that have known CVEs. I'm opening an issue to discuss whether we should consider doing the same, or at least relaxing our guidelines for backwards compatibility to allow our modules to be bumped along with their dependencies.
