frontend-proxy crash loop?

I´m running the demo via docker compose. just a fresh clone of the repo.
Everything starts up nicely, except the frontend-proxy which get stuck in a crash loop.

It complains about this:

Proto constraint validation failed

But I haven´t changed anything so why is this?

Other services then fail to resolve frontend-proxy as it is not started.

this happened to me after I made some changes to the proxy config in a different project (but still sharing the same image locally). In my case, I was able to resolve it by forcing a rebuild

docker compose up --force-recreate --remove-orphans --detach --build
