Save spans for TransactionScope commit phase with OpenTelemetry.Instrumentation.SqlClient

I have an app that does the following in a using block:

1. create a TransactionScope
2. INSERT into MS SQL Server databases
3. INSERT into Couchbase database
4. call TransactionScope.Commit()

Jaeger shows spans for the MS SQL INSERT operations but there is no span for the commit phase of the TransactionScope.

Can I configure OpenTelemetry.Instrumentation.SqlClient to show spans for this? It would be useful because the commit phase sometimes takes as long as 20 seconds, and I want to see what exactly causes it (SQL vs. Couchbase).
