Setting custom attributes to metrics

I am new to open telemetry, trying to implement metrics and traces.

 services.AddOpenTelemetry()
        .ConfigureResource(r => r.AddTelemetrySdk()
        .AddService(Environment.ApplicationName)
        .AddAttributes([new KeyValuePair<string, object>("svc", Environment.ApplicationName), new KeyValuePair<string, object>("env", Environment.EnvironmentName)]))
        .WithMetrics(builder => builder.SetExemplarFilter(ExemplarFilterType.TraceBased)
        .AddAspNetCoreInstrumentation()
        .AddHttpClientInstrumentation()
        .AddRuntimeInstrumentation()
        .AddPrometheusExporter());

using above to generate metrics and export it to prometheus.

Issue is when I'm using console exporter I can see the attributes in all the logs but when I use Prometheus exporter its not getting added. Due to which I'm not able to filter metrics in grafana by service name.

I am implementing this for first time, please let me know if I am missing anything here.
