Production readiness of the project

The project description mentioned "This project is currently work in progress."

I wonder what's the plan to mark the product as production ready? What's the roadmap / plan of it?

I think that was potentially left over from the pre v0.1.0 release. When I talked with @MrAlias at kubecon, we thought the path to a stable release was potentially feasible in the next 6 months, given the relatively limited API surface of the project. But i'll let the actual maintainers weigh in on that.

This was added by @MrAlias when he initially created the repo and added first files. So it could be removed IMO.

Beyla, which depends of OBI, is being production ready for a long time. There's always things to improve and fix, but it's a stable and mature product. Same applies for OBI standalone. The only thing that's missing is to be able to use this as part of the collector. I'd refer to usage of milestones rather and updating README in order to understand the state of the project.

We just discussed this at the SIG yesterday, next SIG meeting (Jan 14th) we'll work on a plan for stabilisation of the OBI project and a roadmap for this year.
